Texas
Governor Perry on the Ropes About Arizona Immigration Law
"Some of you may have seen the recent Public Policy Polling
numbers showing Republican Governor Rick Perry in a dead
heat with Democratic challenger Bill White. But there’s
something else about that poll that hasn’t been as widely
reported. When we polled the race in February Rick Perry led
Bill White by 6 points. The race is tied now, and the
movement since the previous poll has come completely with
Hispanic voters." Blue Wave News, June 26, 2010.
Let your voices be heard

Speaker of the
Texas House:
We know that House
Speaker Joe Strauss was a deal maker when it came to no immigration
bills being brought to the floor in the last Texas legislative
session. That deal was made with the Mexican American Hispanic
Legislative Caucus. Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer, D-San Antonio said:
We've demonstrated
pretty clearly we can keep those bills (immigration bills) from ever
coming to the floor," said Martinez Fischer, a San Antonio Democrat.
"Joe (Strauss-Speaker of (the) Texas House) understands the idea of what
comes around goes around -- we just have a philosophical respect for
each other."
We know that Speaker
Strauss has denied this even though it is in black and white. Rep. Burt
Solomons, District 65, Carrollton, also denies it in a scathing letter
to Leo Berman, wherein he called Leo Berman a liar.
Rep. Leo Berman has now
made it known that he intends to seek the office of House Speaker. Peter
Morrison, IRCOT Partner, has made it possible for a fax to be sent to
the Republican members of the house. If you haven't already done so,
please use this way to let each Republican member know we want a strong
person like Leo Berman in that chair.

If your House
member is not a Republican,
please go to
http://www.fyi.legisl.state.tx.us for their contact information and
let them know we need a strong person in the chair of House Speaker. As
Mike Cutler, former INS agent, expert witness, writer and commentator
keeps saying:
This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply
stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!
