Script:

  • On January 9th [2007], the Texas legislature began their 80th session and this session will be different.  The Eyes of Texas are upon you and you cannot get away!
  • Bills have been filed to include:
    • repealing in-state tuition to illegals,
    • denied benefits to illegals,
    • recover money from the federal government for costs incurred by the state in dealing with illegal immigration.
    • demand enforcement of federal immigration laws and,
    • require proof of citizenship to vote.
  • This all sounds great but wait, there's one bill HB 244 that says, ~ citizenship should not be considered in a political process.   This cannot happen.  You need to be informed.
  • Visit Citizens For Immigration Reform's website: IRCOT- N TX (formerly CFIR)usa.org.
  • Contact your Texas Law maker.  Urge them to support those bills that are right for Texas.
  • That's IRCOT- N TX (formerly CFIR)usa.org, Citizens For Immigration Reform, [214-261-5373].
